Directions to Wolstanton High School

1.  Coming from the south:  Turn off the M6 at Junction 15.  The slip road swings round to reach a roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout onto the A500 dual carriageway [signposted 'Stoke-on-Trent'].

2. Follow the dual carriageway for a couple of miles, and when you reach the first turning, the A34, turn off. [Signposted 'Newcastle Under Lyme'].

3. When you come to the roundabout under the dual carriageway, take the left turn, the A34 into Newcastle.

4. Follow the A34: it does some suburbia, then goes for the out-of-town shopping centre look [Tesco’s is on your left]. Eventually, it settles on the town centre feel, and you reach a roundabout. You want the second turning off the roundabout. You're still following the A34.

5. You're now on an inner ring road: it's all dual carriageway (if not, you're on the wrong road). Go straight across the next 3 roundabouts (you reach them in quick succession). When you reach the last of the three, you should still be on the A34, but heading towards 'Congleton' and 'Manchester'.

6. After the third roundabout, you'll have a longer stint of dual carriageway. The speed cameras are active in this area: stay under 40. You'll cross a set of lights, and there's a small arcade of shops on your right.

7. Shortly after the arcade, you hit another roundabout, with the 'Milehouse' pub on it. Turn right onto "Milehouse Lane", formally known as the B5368, towards 'Wolstanton'. You're finally off the dual carriageway.

8. You'll reach yet another roundabout. Go straight across it, but notice the playing fields and large school building to the right. That's the venue.

9. You need the next right which turns in through the school gates: shortly after the roundabout. Drive right across the front of the school, and park by the building at the far end: it's the sports hall.
