Summer Tournaments 2010

Hi everyone,

Going to use this post to keep people informed of the tournaments we plan to go to. You can reply here if you'd like to come to one, or if you want to suggest one to go to.

So far we are entered into:

22nd May - Leicester - 2 teams
29th May - St. Andrews Beach Tournament - 1 team

We also traditionally go to:

12th June - Bristol
3rd July - Milton Keynes Korfstock
31st July - Us (Provisionally atm)
7th August - Nottingham
(Cardiff - Not Announced)

Other possibilities:

26th June - Cambridge
17th/18th July - Norfolk International

I think Castle Towers and Castle Knights finished 10th and 11th out of 18 at the Leicester tournament on Saturday. The weather was fab and several people are probably a bit pinker than they were before. I hope the Swedish social was good too.

Next up for a few of us, St Andrews beach tournament next weekend. There's the possibility of going to Bristol on 12th June if enough people are interested (the day before the Castle AGM), the one afer that is Korfstock in Milton Keynes on Saturday 3rd July.

Jun 2010 at 23:07 Don't quote me on this, but it's looking likely that Magic will be bringing a team to the Castle tournament this year... hopefully you should be hearing something official from us fairly soon.....

Are you still going to MK, and if so, are you likely to have any spare girls? Magic have entered a team, but at the moment it looks like we've only got two girls, so if anyone fancies some extra games, I'm sure that could be arranged....

Jul 2010 at 09:53 The Castle team of Dave Webb, Matt, Alistair, Jake, sometimes Nigel, Manda, Helen, Karen and me had a good day out at the Milton Keynes tournament and came 12th out of 25 teams. Thanks to the girls for also playing many games for CaNKorf, who came 15th. Hopefully my muscles will stop aching soon...
